rustic living

This past weekend we went back to Jackson for one of my college friend's wedding. We haven't been back in awhile so it was a fun weekend getting to see my family and being with friends that came in town for it! It was a packed weekend but full of fun!
We woke up early Saturday morning and drove to Belzoni, Ms where our family has a farm. I haven't seen it since it has gone under construction so we decided to make the early drive up there and check it out. It definetely has a long way to go but after seeing it again and talking all the plans out with my mom, I can definitely see their vision for it. When it is completed it will be a great place to go and enjoy with everyone!

You know you are in the delta when....this is your view for the day

This is one of the three houses on the property that is not being completely gutted

This is the barn that we are converting the inside into a living space that will include a kitchen, den, 2 separate rooms with bunk-beds along the wall for the hunters, bathroom, fireplace and a back patio that will overlook the water.

This is the tin ceiling in the barn that we are keeping just adding new lighting

This is on the other side of the barn that we will turn into an outside shower for the dirty men to use

I didn't take a picture of the "pad" but this is the
kitchen in that house that is under renovation

I am most excited about helping with the interior decorating!
I hope to show you more pictures soon on the progress that will happen over the next few months!

Happy Thursday!
